Surrey Retirement Village

Surrey Retirement Village

Sycamore Court is a widely thought to be the premier Surrey retirement village & is a development of privately owned retirement apartments with the aim of helping active older people retain enjoyable independence by providing services such as cleaning, laundry and a midday meal each day if required.

We employ an excellent team of staff who are dedicated to providing support and security to our residents 24 hours a day. They also take great pride in their ability to remove some of the chores of running a household allowing those who live in the Court to enjoy their retirements to the full.

Retained Independence

We will ensure that you will still have your own home but with added peace of mind of knowing that your independence is retained but is complimented with the knowledge that you are not alone and that there is support and friendship to hand.

Opened 20 years ago & ideally located near the centre of the attractive town of Oxted in Surrey & its many amenities, the premier retirement village Surrey has to offer has been constructed around a pleasant landscaped courtyard with car parking for Owners, staff and visitors.

Self Contained Apartments

We offer 35 totally self-contained comfortable apartments which are located on three floors: ground, middle and top, and two lifts and two staircases make for easy access. In addition, there are communal facilities on the ground floor: a dining room, an attractive lounge and a hobbies room and on the first floor there is a pleasant guest suite for overnight visitors to the Court.

We are managed by a Board of Directors who all live in apartments located within the Court and in 2005 the Owners’ Company, Sycamore Court Limited, bought its freehold which is now shared between all Owners (for full details see our Management and Freehold page).

Couples and singles live in Sycamore Court and they do so either completely independently or they chose to make use of the communal facilities and services on offer such as enjoying the excellent lunches in the dining room where, of course, guests are welcome. Many like to join in with our social activities such as scrabble, bridge, quizzes, drinks and nibbles, parties, coffee mornings etc. There is no need to be lonely within this friendly environment. The Court is, as a result, truly autonomous and, justifiably, prides itself on its “extended family” ethos.
