Looking for the leading standard of very sheltered accommodation Surrey has to offer? Sycamore Court has been designed for people over 60 years of age to help them retain their independence for as long as possible whilst relieving them of the need to maintain a house and garden.
We have 35 well appointed, self contained one and two bedroom apartments which are located on three easily accessible floors. Our apartments are sold with long leases and are subject a monthly service charge.
Couples and singles live in Sycamore Court and they do so either completely independently or they chose to make use of the communal facilities and services on offer such as enjoying the excellent lunches in the dining room where, of course, guests are welcome. Many like to join in with our social activities such as scrabble, bridge, quizzes, drinks and nibbles, parties, coffee mornings etc. There is no need to be lonely within this friendly environment.
Our very sheltered accommodation offers a new way of living. There is a long held view in society that the elderly should remain in their own homes as long as possible and whilst this may be suitable for some people, it may prove to be very lonely for others.
At Sycamore Court, we ensure that our residents still have their own home but have the added peace of mind if knowing that there is support to hand should the need arise.
Services Available
As well as offering the use of our attractive communal areas, including a lounge, dining room, hobbies room and guest suite we also offer a number of services available, including:
- 24 hour staff
- 1.5 hours domestic assistance in each apartment per week (included as part of the service charge)
- Optional lunches every day of the year
- Laundry and ironing service (if required)
- Extra domestic assistance (if required)
The Court is very conveniently situated within easy walking distance of Waitrose and Morrisons supermarkets, shops, restaurants, a library, hairdressers, a post office, banks, a leisure centre, a cinema, an excellent health centre and dental practices. Bus stops are close by offering direct transport to Redhill and Westerham and our local railway station, which is minutes away on foot, operates a regular service to East Croydon, London and, in the other direction, to East Grinstead. We are also just over 3 miles from the M25, junction 6.
It is important to note that we are not a residential care home or nursing home but a place for relatively fit and active people.
