Sycamore Court is an assisted living facility which first opened its doors in 1992 and is situated near the centre of the attractive town of Oxted in Surrey which has many amenities. It is built around a pleasant landscaped courtyard with car parking for Owners, staff and visitors.
Designed for people aged 60 years and over, Sycamore Court aims to help our residents to retain their independence for as long as possible whilst relieving much of the responsibility associated with maintaining a house and garden.
We have 35 well appointed, self contained one and two bedroom apartments which are located on three easily accessible floors. Our apartments are sold with long leases and are subject a monthly service charge. Each apartment has gas-fired central heating with radiators, double glazing, window locks to all windows, an alarm call system with pull cords in each room, a built in electric oven, hob and cooker hood.
Services Available
As well as offering the use of our attractive communal areas, including a lounge, dining room, hobbies room and guest suite we also offer a number of services available, including:
- 24 hour staff
- 1.5 hours domestic assistance in each apartment per week (included as part of the service charge)
- Optional lunches every day of the year
- Laundry and ironing service (if required)
- Extra domestic assistance (if required)
We are located within easy travelling distance of supermarkets, shops, post office, banks, leisure centre, cinema, restaurants, health centre and dental practices. Bus stops are close by as well as the railway station from which training run to East Croydon, London and East Grinstead.
It is important to note that we are not a residential care home or nursing home but a place for relatively fit and active people. Our very sheltered accommodation offers a new way of living. There is a long held view in society that the elderly should remain in their own homes as long as possible and whilst this may be suitable for some people, it may prove to be very lonely for others. At Sycamore Court, we ensure that our residents still have their own home but have the added peace of mind if knowing that there is support to hand should the need arise.
